How to get to Anguilla

Anguilla is the most northern island in the Leeward Island chain, less than ten miles north of St. Maartin and 200 miles east of Puerto Rico. The island of Anguilla is a 3-hour plane ride from Miami, 1-hour plane ride from San Juan, Puerto Rico or a 20-minute boat ride from St. Maarten via private charters or public ferry or a 5 minute flight from St. Maarten.

Flying direct from the United States
In 2022, American Airlines added the first-ever nonstop service from the United States to Anguilla! You can now fly non-stop from Miami, which has been a game-changer for getting to the island.

If you are flying into St. Maarten there are a few ways to get across to Anguilla:

A private boat charter.

The sea shuttle, which is a shared speed boat and it departs in St. Marten Anguilla dock in Simpson Bay just across from the airport hourly

The public ferry departs St. Marten from Marigot which is a cab ride from the airport and the fee is dependent on the amount of passengers. The public ferry departs every 45 minutes  from St. Marten and Anguilla.

You can also be transferred by small Airplane which holds up to 7 passengers.
